Anagram Solver

Find every English word your letters can form, with a built-in common-word list and length filters.

Length distribution

The built-in lists are common-word subsets, not complete dictionaries.

How to use it

  1. Pick the language: English matches your letters against a built-in list of about 3000 common words, Chinese lists the words hidden in the ordering of your characters.
  2. Type the letters or characters — for example listen — and the results update as you type.
  3. Set a minimum length to hide the one and two letter results.
  4. The length distribution row shows how many words were found at each length, and every group is listed underneath.
  5. Sample loads a ready-made input, Copy takes the plain list, and Clear starts over.

Common use cases

Why it stays private

Matching runs entirely in your browser against word lists baked into the page: no requests, no accounts and nothing stored. One honest caveat: the built-in lists are common-word subsets, not complete dictionaries, so rare, technical or brand-new words will not show up. They cover everyday vocabulary well and nothing more.

FAQ

Q: Why does a word I know not appear? A: The built-in lists cover common words only. They are a practical subset rather than a complete dictionary, so rare, technical and newly coined words are out of scope.

Q: How does Chinese mode work? A: It checks the orderings of your characters, up to seven of them, against a built-in list of about 1500 everyday words and lists every hit. Beyond seven characters the number of orderings grows too fast, so the tool stops and says so.

Q: Are shorter words included? A: Yes. English mode finds every word the letters can form at any length; raise the minimum length filter when you only want longer results.
