Full ASCII table 0-127 with decimal, hex, character and name columns, filter and click-to-copy.

Dec Hex Char Name

Click any row to copy that character.

How to use it

  1. Scroll the table or type in the Filter box to narrow it down.
  2. The filter matches all four columns at once: decimal value, hex value, the character itself, or its name (try tab, esc, 2C or a single character).
  3. Each row shows the decimal value, two-digit hexadecimal, the character and a human-readable name.
  4. Click any row to copy that character to your clipboard — including control characters like tab or newline.
  5. Leave the filter empty to see all 128 entries again.

Common use cases

Why it stays private

The table is embedded in the page and the filter runs in local JavaScript. No request is made when you search or copy, so the page also works fully offline.

FAQ

Q: Why do control characters show a dot in the Char column? A: Codes 0-31 and 127 have no visible glyph. They still copy correctly — for example, clicking the TAB row puts a real tab character on your clipboard.

Q: Does it cover extended ASCII (128-255)? A: No. Codes 128-255 were never standardized as one table; they depend on the codepage (Latin-1, CP437 and so on). This tool sticks to the unambiguous 0-127 range.

Q: Can I search by hexadecimal value? A: Yes. Type one or two hex digits, with or without a 0x prefix intent in mind — the filter matches the two-digit hex column, so 1b finds ESC in both hex and name matches.

Your data stays on this device

ASCII Table runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.

Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
