How to use it

  1. Pick a start date and an end date; the difference panel updates immediately.
  2. Tick Exclude weekends if you want the day and week figures to count only weekdays.
  3. Read the four stats: days, weeks, calendar months and working days (Monday to Friday).
  4. For date shifting, set a base date, an amount, a unit (day/week/month/year) and a direction, then press Apply.
  5. The shifted result shows the new date with its weekday.

Common use cases

Why it stays private

Everything is plain date arithmetic in your browser; no dates are sent or stored. The working-day count treats Monday to Friday as working days and has no notion of public holidays, so treat it as a raw weekday count rather than a true business calendar.

FAQ

Q: Is the end date itself counted? A: The day count is the plain difference (end minus start), so the end date is not included. From Jan 1 to Jan 2 is 1 day; the working-day count covers the days in between, Jan 1 only in that example.

Q: How are months counted? A: By whole calendar months: full month boundaries between the two dates, minus one if the end day-of-month has not reached the start day-of-month. It is a calendar answer, not a 30-day approximation.

Q: What happens to month-end dates like January 31 plus one month? A: The result is clamped to the last valid day, so January 31 plus one month gives February 28 (or 29 in a leap year) instead of spilling into March.
