Click any emoji to copy it.
No emoji matches that name.
How to use it
- Type an English name into the search box — "heart", "rocket", "cat" — and the grid filters as you type.
- Leave the box empty to browse all emoji, grouped by category.
- Click any emoji to copy it to your clipboard; a toast confirms the copy.
- The counter under the search box shows how many emoji match the current filter.
- Hover an emoji to see its English name as a tooltip.
Common use cases
- Writing docs and chat messages — grab the right symbol without opening a system picker.
- Naming things — the same handful of emoji for releases, checklists and review comments, one click away.
- Content authoring — pick consistent symbols across headings, changelogs and slides.
- Testing emoji handling — paste multi-byte characters into forms and tools to verify they survive round-trips.
Why it stays private
The emoji table ships with the page and filtering is plain string matching in browser memory. No network requests are made; copying goes through your local clipboard.
FAQ
Q: Why search by English name only? A: The built-in index uses English keywords, which keeps the data table small and searches predictable. The descriptions in each category are localized; the search index is not.
Q: How current is the emoji set? A: It covers the everyday core of Unicode emoji through recent versions — about 200 entries across six groups — deliberately curated rather than exhaustive.
Q: Does it include skin-tone or gender variants? A: Only the base characters are listed. Apply variants in your text editor if you need them; composing ZWJ sequences by hand is out of scope for a quick picker.
Your data stays on this device
Emoji Picker runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
