Fake Data Generator
Random placeholder rows: name, email, company, address, phone, date. Export as CSV or JSON.
| # | Name | Company | Address | Phone | Date |
|---|
All rows are assembled locally from random word lists and never match real people.
How to use it
- Set the number of rows you need, from 1 to 100.
- Click Generate. A table fills with a name, email, company, address, phone number and date per row.
- Click Copy to take the whole dataset as JSON text.
- Use the CSV or JSON buttons to download the current rows as a file.
- Click Generate again for a fresh batch; every row is random and independent.
Common use cases
- Populating a mock UI - fill tables, lists and dashboards with realistic-looking rows before real data exists.
- Spreadsheet practice - grab a CSV with believable columns to rehearse filters, pivot tables and formulas.
- Import testing - feed a few hundred fake records into an importer and watch how it handles them.
- Demo content - show a stakeholder what the finished screen will feel like without touching production data.
Why it stays private
Rows are assembled locally from random word lists and counters. Email addresses use the reserved example.com family and phone numbers stay in the fictional 555 range, so no generated record points at a real person, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
FAQ
Q: Could a generated record match a real person? A: Name and street words are drawn from common lists, so combinations can resemble real ones, but the contact fields cannot collide: example domains are reserved for documentation and 555 numbers are reserved for fiction. Treat the data as clearly synthetic.
Q: Does it generate localized data for other countries? A: This version uses a general English style: Latin names, generic addresses and US-format phone numbers. It is aimed at layout and testing, not at locale-specific validation.
Q: Can I control which columns appear? A: The column set is fixed to keep the tool simple. Generate the full table and delete the columns you do not need after exporting to CSV or JSON.
