Favicon Generator
Generate favicon PNGs in 16 to 512 pixel sizes from one image.

Result appears here.
Generation runs in your browser. The image never leaves your device.
How to use it
- Choose an image - a square logo or mark works well because every output is square.
- Click Generate favicons to produce all five sizes at once.
- Each size shows as a preview at its relative scale with its file name underneath.
- Click a file name to download that PNG.
Common use cases
- Setting up a new site - one source image covers browser tabs, bookmarks, iOS home screens and PWA icons.
- Refreshing a brand - regenerate the whole icon set after a logo change.
- App manifests - the 512px file fits the icon requirement of a web app manifest.
Why it stays private
The resizing happens on canvas elements inside your browser. The image is never uploaded, so an unreleased logo stays on your device until you deploy it yourself.
FAQ
Q: My logo is not square. What will the icons look like? A: The image is stretched to fit the square, so non-square logos come out distorted. Crop or pad the source to a square first - the image crop tool on this site can do that.
Q: Why do the 16 and 32 pixel previews look blocky? A: Those sizes genuinely have very few pixels, and the preview magnifies them with pixelated rendering so you see exactly what a browser tab will show. Detailed logos lose clarity at this scale - simple marks survive it.
Q: Do I need all five sizes? A: Modern browsers work with 32px alone, but including 16, 32 and 180 covers tab icons, retina displays and iOS home-screen shortcuts, and 512 satisfies web app manifests. Using all of them avoids blurry substitutions.
Your data stays on this device
Favicon Generator runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
