FAQ
Q: How are Chinese words counted? A: There is no dictionary segmentation. Chinese runs are counted per character, and in Words mode each adjacent pair of characters is also counted, which surfaces common two-character terms.
Q: What counts as a word in English? A: A run of letters or digits, with an apostrophe or hyphen kept inside the word, so state-of-the-art is one token.
Q: Does the N-gram mode mix languages? A: N-grams are built inside each run: characters for Chinese runs, whole words for English runs, so new york becomes one 2-gram.
