i18n Key Generator
Turn English sentences into clean i18n keys in camelCase or CONST_CASE, batch-friendly.
Generated keys (one per line)
How to use it
- Paste one or more English sentences into the input — one per line for batch mode.
- Pick a naming style: camelCase (
submitButtonLabel) or CONST_CASE (SUBMIT_BUTTON_LABEL). - Optional settings: a module prefix (
settings.), a maximum key length and stop-word removal (of, the, a and friends are dropped). - Each input line produces one key on the matching output line, so you can paste both straight into your locale files.
- Click Copy to take the whole key list.
Common use cases
- Extracting copy from designs — turn a Figma frame's full sentences into keys your locale files will accept.
- Migrating hardcoded strings — feed a whole component's copy list and rename in one pass.
- Consistent conventions — the stop-word and length rules keep keys predictable across a large codebase.
- Code review prep — generate the key list first, then discuss naming before touching files.
Why it stays private
Key derivation is plain string processing in your browser. No requests are made, and nothing is stored between visits.
FAQ
Q: Does it translate the text? A: No — it structures the English source into a key. The translations themselves live in your locale files.
Q: What happens with duplicate input lines? A: Each line produces its own key; identical lines naturally produce identical keys, which is usually what you want for repeated copy.
Q: Can it handle numbers and punctuation? A: Digits are kept, punctuation is stripped or turned into separators, and empty results are reported rather than silently emitted.
