Source size · -
How to use it
- Choose an image - the source dimensions appear above the preview.
- Enter the X and Y pixel coordinates of the crop's top-left corner.
- Enter the width and height of the crop area; the defaults fill the whole image.
- Click Crop to see the result on the canvas.
- Click Download to save the cropped PNG.
Common use cases
- Exact avatar sizes - cut a profile picture to a precise square like 400x400.
- Trimming screenshots - remove browser chrome or margins from a capture by pixel numbers.
- Repeating production crops - when a template demands fixed coordinates, typing numbers is more repeatable than dragging.
Why it stays private
The crop is a canvas drawImage call inside your browser. The image is never uploaded, so screenshots of internal tools or personal photos stay local.
FAQ
Q: My crop area extends past the image edge. What happens? A: The coordinates are clamped: the area is pulled back inside the image and sized down so the crop stays within the source pixels. The result is never padded with empty space.
Q: Why are the inputs pixel-based instead of a draggable box? A: Numeric input is precise and repeatable - the same values always produce the same crop, which matters when many images must match one template.
Q: What format is the download? A: PNG, so the crop is lossless. If you need a smaller file, run the result through the image compressor or format converter on this site.
