Image Filters
Apply vintage, black and white, cool, warm, high-contrast or invert filters in your browser.
Filters run in your browser. The image never leaves your device.
How to use it
- Choose an image file — it stays on your device.
- Pick a preset filter: vintage, black and white, cool, warm, high contrast or invert.
- Drag the strength slider to blend between the original and the filtered look; the preview updates as you move it.
- Click Apply to encode the result, then Download to save it as a PNG.
Common use cases
- Quick vintage look — warm faded tones for a retro mood without opening an editor.
- Black and white scans — a clean luminance conversion for documents and portraits.
- Cooling or warming a shot — nudge the color temperature when the white balance was off.
- Punching up flat images — the high-contrast preset separates the subject from the background.
Why it stays private
The file is read into a canvas with an object URL and every filter is a per-pixel computation inside this page. No image data is sent anywhere, and closing the tab discards everything.
FAQ
Q: What exactly does each preset do? A: Vintage applies a sepia-style channel mix, black and white uses luminance weights, cool and warm shift the red and blue channels, high contrast expands values around mid gray, and invert maps each channel to its opposite.
Q: Does the strength slider reduce quality? A: No. It blends the original pixels with the filtered pixels, so at 50 percent you get a half-strength version of the same pixels, not a re-encoded copy.
Q: Can I export as JPEG? A: Downloads are PNG so the filtered pixels are saved exactly as previewed. PNG files are larger; convert them afterwards if you need a smaller JPEG.
Your data stays on this device
Image Filters runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
