Image Resizer
Resize images to exact pixel dimensions with an aspect lock.
Resampling runs on a canvas in your browser. The image never leaves your device.
How to use it
- Choose an image up to 10MB - the current pixel size fills the width and height fields.
- Type a new width or height. With the aspect lock on, the other value follows automatically.
- Turn the lock off to set both dimensions independently.
- Pick an output format and click Download.
Common use cases
- Hitting upload limits - drop a photo to the exact pixel size a form or portal asks for.
- Thumbnail sets - produce a run of fixed-size thumbnails from full-size photos.
- Print and screen prep - set the pixel dimensions a template or a CMS expects.
Why it stays private
Resampling happens on a canvas element inside your browser tab. The file is read through a local object URL and never sent anywhere.
FAQ
Q: Will resizing make the file smaller? A: Usually yes for photos, because fewer pixels are encoded. Enlarging a small image can make the file grow instead.
Q: What resampling does the browser use? A: The canvas scales the image with the browser built-in smoothing, which is fine for typical downscaling. Repeated small reductions lose more quality than one direct pass.
Q: What are the size limits? A: Each side accepts 1 to 12000 pixels. Keep the total within what your device memory allows - very large canvases can fail in the browser.
Your data stays on this device
Image Resizer runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
