Image Rotate
Rotate images by any angle between -180 and 180 degrees.
The canvas expands to fit the rotated image and fills the new corners with your color. Nothing is uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose an image up to 10MB - JPEG, PNG or WebP.
- Drag the angle slider from -180 to 180 degrees.
- Pick the background color for the areas the rotation uncovers.
- Click Download to save the rotated PNG.
Common use cases
- Straightening photos - correct a tilted horizon or a skewed scan by a few degrees.
- Fine-tuning a layout - tilt a product shot or illustration to fit a design grid.
- Quarter turns - set the slider to 90 or -90 when you need a plain left or right turn.
Why it stays private
Rotation happens on a canvas element inside your browser tab. The file is read through a local object URL and never sent anywhere.
FAQ
Q: Does rotating shrink the image? A: No. The canvas grows so the whole rotated image fits, and the empty corners take the background color you picked.
Q: Why do the edges look slightly soft at odd angles? A: Rotating by an angle that is not a multiple of 90 forces the browser to resample pixels. Use 90 or -90 for a pixel-exact quarter turn.
Q: Which format is the download? A: PNG, so the background color stays exact and no re-compression artifacts appear.
Your data stays on this device
Image Rotate runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
