Image Watermark
Add a text watermark to images with position and opacity controls.
Source size · -
How to use it
- Choose an image - the source dimensions appear above the preview.
- Type the watermark text, such as your name, handle or site.
- Pick a position: any corner or the center.
- Adjust font size and opacity; the white text carries a soft shadow so it reads on light and dark backgrounds.
- Click Apply watermark, then Download the PNG.
Common use cases
- Protecting shared photos - mark proofs and drafts before sending them to a client.
- Attributing posted images - keep your handle visible when images travel between platforms.
- Internal drafts - label a render or mockup as a draft before circulation.
Why it stays private
The watermark is drawn with a canvas fillText call in your browser. The image is never uploaded, so unreleased work and personal photos stay on your device.
FAQ
Q: The watermark is hard to see on my image. What should I change? A: Raise the font size or move it to a corner with less detail. The text is white with a shadow; on very light backgrounds the shadow keeps it readable, but a bigger size helps more.
Q: Can I use my own logo image instead of text? A: This tool draws text only. For image-on-image watermarking, a dedicated editor gives more control over scale and blending.
Q: Does watermarking prevent image theft? A: No watermark is theft-proof - determined people crop or edit them out. A visible mark raises the effort and keeps attribution when images are reposted, which is usually the practical goal.
Your data stays on this device
Image Watermark runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
