SERP Preview

Preview title, description and URL as Google, Twitter and Facebook cards, with truncation marks.

Previews

Length notes

Simulated layout only; nothing is fetched or submitted. Character counts below each field use common guideline widths, and real truncation depends on device, font and query.

How to use it

  1. Type the page title as it appears in the title tag, the meta description text, and the page URL.
  2. Four previews render at once: Google desktop, Google mobile, a Twitter (X) summary card and a Facebook link card.
  3. Text that runs past the guideline width is truncated with an ellipsis, exactly the way the platform would cut it visually.
  4. Under each preview, small meters show character counts against the guideline: 60 and 160 for Google desktop, 55 and 120 for Google mobile, 70 and 200 for Twitter, 88 and 200 for Facebook. Anything over the guideline turns red.
  5. The copy button exports the inputs, the per-platform counts and the length notes as plain text.

Common use cases

Why it stays private

The previews are drawn from your input with plain HTML and CSS in the browser. Nothing is fetched, no URL is opened, and no form is submitted anywhere.

FAQ

Q: Are the character limits official? A: No. They are common guideline widths that most SEO tools use, because Google, Twitter and Facebook truncate by rendered width rather than a fixed character count. Real results vary with device, font, language and even the search query.

Q: Why does the mobile Google preview show fewer characters? A: A phone screen gives the title and description less horizontal room, so the guideline is lower. Writing to the desktop number alone usually means the mobile listing truncates.

Q: Does a truncated description hurt? A: A cut description loses whatever fell past the cut, so the tail of your message may never be seen. Search engines may also substitute their own snippet. Keep the key claim early.

Q: Can I preview the actual page? A: No. This tool simulates the card layout only. It does not fetch your page, read its real meta tags or render the site.
