OG Preview
Preview how a link card reads on Facebook and Twitter (X) - local simulation, zero requests.
Facebook card
Twitter (X) card
Appearance simulation only. Nothing is fetched or probed; the image URL is displayed as text.
How to use it
- Fill in the og:title and og:description exactly as your meta tags will read.
- Paste the og:image URL and your domain; these appear as text and card branding only.
- Watch the two simulated cards update as you type: a Facebook-style card and a Twitter (X)-style card.
- Shorten the title or description until nothing is cut off, then adjust the real meta tags on your page.
Common use cases
- Pre-launch checks - make sure a landing page shares with the intended headline before it goes live.
- Meta tag tuning - find the title length at which a card starts truncating, then write to fit.
- Content audits - compare several pages of a site side by side without opening each one on social networks.
- Teaching SEO basics - demonstrate what the og: fields control on a share card.
Why it stays private
The cards are drawn from your input in plain HTML inside this page. The tool never fetches your image, never contacts Facebook or Twitter, and never probes the domain, so unreleased page titles stay on your device.
FAQ
Q: Why is the image area only a label instead of the picture? A: Loading the image would send a request from your browser, which this tool avoids by design. The file name of the URL is displayed so you can confirm the right asset is referenced, and the layout still shows how much space the image occupies.
Q: Do the simulated cards match the networks pixel for pixel? A: No. Facebook and Twitter change their card designs regularly, so this is an approximation of proportions and text truncation, not an official renderer. Use it to sanity-check lengths and wording.
Q: My description looks fine here but is cut on the real site. Why? A: The live networks may substitute cached data, apply different fonts or prioritize other tags. After fixing the meta tags, use each platform's own inspector (such as a share debugger) to refresh their cache and verify.
Your data stays on this device
OG Preview runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
