Pangu Spacing

Insert spaces between CJK and Latin text or digits, keeping full-width punctuation tight.

A single space is inserted between CJK characters and Latin letters (and optionally digits). Full-width punctuation sticks to its neighbors, so no space is added next to 、。「」etc.

How to use it

  1. Paste mixed CJK and Latin text into the input panel, for example a Chinese sentence with English product names.
  2. Keep or untick Space between digits and CJK too depending on your style guide.
  3. Click Add spaces (or keep typing) and read the spaced text on the right.
  4. Use Copy or Download to take the result with you.

Common use cases

Why it stays private

Spacing runs entirely in your browser's memory. Nothing is uploaded, no account is needed, and no network request is made, so drafts never leave your device.

FAQ

Q: Why is no space added next to full-width punctuation? A: Full-width marks such as the ideographic comma, ideographic period and corner brackets are designed to sit flush against neighboring characters. The tool treats them as attached and only spaces between CJK and Latin letters or digits.

Q: Does it double-space text that already has spaces? A: No. Positions where either neighbor is already whitespace are left alone, so re-running the tool on already spaced text changes nothing.

Q: Which characters count as CJK? A: Han characters, Japanese kana and Hangul syllables. Latin letters and digits are the other side of the rule; full-width punctuation is excluded as described above.

Your data stays on this device

Pangu Spacing runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.

Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
