Why it stays private
The calculation is two divisions in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and the page makes no network requests after it loads.
FAQ
Q: How is the finish estimate computed? A: The pace is completed hours divided by elapsed hours, and the remaining amount is divided by that pace. It assumes a constant rate, so treat it as a rough guide.
Q: Can the completed amount exceed the total? A: Yes. The percentage will show above 100%, while the progress bar is capped at 100% for readability.
Q: What units should I use for the inputs? A: Any consistent unit works - tasks, pages, items or currency - as long as completed and total use the same one.
Your data stays on this device
Progress Calculator runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
