QR Code Generator
Generate QR codes locally with adjustable error correction, size and colors, exported as PNG.
Generated entirely in your browser.
How to use it
- Enter any text or URL.
- Pick the error-correction level — M (15%) is a good default; choose H for tiny, damage-prone labels.
- Adjust the size and, if you need brand colours, set foreground and background.
- Click Generate QR, then download the PNG.
Common use cases
- Wi-Fi and event badges — a URL or a plain text payload (such as
WIFI:T:WPA;S:...) scans cleanly. - Product and menu codes — higher error correction survives printing at small sizes.
- Testing your own apps — generate a code that points to a local staging URL, without waiting for an online service.
FAQ
Q: Where is the QR generated?
A: Entirely in your browser using the open-source qrcode library, loaded on demand. Your URL never reaches a server, so even a private invite link stays private.
Q: Which error-correction level should I use? A: Start with M. Use H when the code will be printed small, bent, or partially covered. Higher levels make denser codes that are harder to scan on screens.
Q: Can I change colors? A: Yes — but keep the contrast high. Dark-on-light scans far better than light-on-dark or same-hue pairs. If scanning fails, revert to near-black on white.
Your data stays on this device
QR Code Generator runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
