Slug generation is a string transform using built-in Unicode normalization in your browser. Titles never leave the page, so unpublished drafts stay unpublished.

Q: How are accents handled? A: The text is decomposed with Unicode NFD and the combining marks are stripped, so an accented letter maps to its plain base letter rather than disappearing.

Q: What happens to characters that are not letters or digits? A: Each run of them, including spaces, becomes a single separator. Separators at the ends, and repeated ones, are trimmed away.

Q: How does the maximum length cut the slug? A: It is a hard cut at the limit, then any trailing separator is removed. Word boundaries are not preserved, so pick a limit that ends on a full word if that matters to you.
