SVG Editor

Edit SVG markup with a live sandboxed preview, zoom in, and export the result as a PNG.

Preview (sandboxed)

Rendering and export run in your browser. Script tags and event handler attributes are stripped before preview, and the SVG never leaves your device.

How to use it

  1. Paste or type SVG markup into the code panel. The preview renders automatically a moment after you stop typing.
  2. Pick a preview zoom of 100%, 200% or 400%. Zoom only scales the preview, never the exported file.
  3. Click Render to refresh the preview immediately after edits.
  4. Click Export PNG to rasterize the current markup at the zoomed size (capped at 4096 px per side) and download it.

Common use cases

Why it stays private

The preview runs in a sandboxed iframe with scripting disabled, and script tags, event handler attributes and javascript: links are stripped from your markup before it is rendered. The SVG and the exported PNG are built in this page's memory — nothing is uploaded.

FAQ

Q: Why did my script or animation disappear from the preview? A: Scripts are removed on purpose. An SVG editor that runs arbitrary code is a security hole, so this tool renders static vector markup only.

Q: Export failed with a message about a tainted canvas — what now? A: That happens when the SVG references external images or fonts. Browsers refuse to read pixels back from a canvas that has drawn such content. Inline the assets into the SVG and export again.

Q: What size will the PNG be? A: The SVG's own width and height (or its viewBox) multiplied by the current zoom, capped at 4096 px per side. If your markup has no dimensions, a 300x150 default is assumed.

Your data stays on this device

SVG Editor runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.

Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
