URL Sanitizer

Strip utm_*, fbclid, gclid and other tracking parameters from links, with a per-item toggle.

Cleaned URL

Removed parameters

Nothing to remove — the URL has no known tracking parameters.

    How to use it

    1. Paste a link that carries tracking parameters, such as ...?utm_source=news&id=7&fbclid=....
    2. The tool lists every known tracking parameter it found, each with a tick box.
    3. Untick a parameter to keep it; the cleaned URL updates immediately.
    4. Copy the cleaned URL from the output box.
    5. The removed parameters are listed as raw name=value pairs so you can audit what was stripped.

    Common use cases

    Why it stays private

The blocklist is embedded in the page and rewriting is local string work. Links are never fetched, resolved or reported — the tool never touches the network.

    FAQ

Q: Which parameters are removed by default? A: A built-in list of about 26 names — utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, utm_id, fbclid, gclid, gclsrc, dclid, msclkid, twclid, ttclid, igshid, mc_cid, mc_eid, ref_src, ref_url, _hsenc, _hsmi, vero_id, yclid, s_kwcid, wbraid, gbraid, spm — plus anything starting with utm_. Each found item can be kept with its toggle.

Q: Does the order of remaining parameters change? A: No. Parameters that are kept stay in their original order, and the URL fragment (#...) is preserved as-is.

Q: What if the URL has no scheme? A: A scheme-less link such as example.com/page?utm_source=x is treated as https://... so it can be parsed; the cleaned output shows the full https:// form.

Your data stays on this device

URL Sanitizer runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.

Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
