UUID Generator
Generate UUID v4 and v7 in bulk with uppercase and no-dash options.
How to use it
- Pick the count (1–500) and the version: v4 (random) or v7 (time-ordered).
- Toggle uppercase or no-dashes as your target system requires.
- Click Generate — every value is produced by the browser's cryptographically secure random generator.
- Copy the whole list or download it as a plain text file.
Common use cases
- Seeding a database — pre-generate identifiers for test fixtures or bulk imports.
- Frontend keys — v4 UUIDs for optimistic updates or event correlation.
- Time-sortable IDs — v7 values sort chronologically, which makes them kinder to index locality in append-only stores.
FAQ
Q: What is the difference between v4 and v7? A: v4 is 122 random bits. v7 embeds a 48-bit timestamp prefix, so generated IDs are roughly sortable by creation time while still containing random entropy.
Q: Are these safe to use as secrets?
A: They use the browser's crypto API, but a UUID is still only 122 bits of entropy. For security tokens use a dedicated token generator with more entropy, not a UUID.
Q: Can I use UUIDs offline? A: Yes — generation is local and never contacts a server.

Your data stays on this device
UUID Generator runs 100% locally. Everything you paste or drop is processed by your own browser and never transmitted. Nothing is stored on our servers — close the tab and it is gone.
Nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or used for analytics. The page works even with your network disconnected after first load.
