Doclingo

What Doclingo is

A translation tool that works on documents rather than paragraphs. It converts the text and tries to keep the formatting intact, so the translated file still looks like the original.

The practical goal is avoiding the hours normally spent re-building layout after translation.

What you can do with it

• Translate an entire document in one pass
• Keep headings, tables and structure in place
• Produce a first draft for a human translator to refine
• Handle specifications, reports and business material
• Convert material for a team working in another language

Who it is for

• Cross-border teams sharing formal documents
• Translators handling document work
• Operations teams processing multilingual material
• Companies delivering documents in several languages

What to watch out for

• Legal, medical and published material still needs professional review
• Dense technical terminology is where machine translation slips most
• Complex layouts may not survive perfectly
• Confidential documents should be checked against the tool data policy before upload
